helmet of Rieter Von Kornburg, Nuremberg owned by the family Rieter Von
Kornberg and found in their tomb in the Allerheiligenkirche
Kleinschwarzenlohe, Germany.
The families Rieter Von Kornburg (Knights of
Kornburg) were medieval patricians, evidently living in Nuremberg since 1361.
The helmet is dated around 1375 and was thought to have been made in the amour
yard in Nuremberg. Today it is exhibited in the Germanic National Museum (GNM)
in Nuremberg.
